Harvey Headshot

Michael Harvey, Provost and Dean of the College

A liberal-arts college is a special kind of learning community, devoted to helping each student learn and grow in an authentic and meaningful way. As Provost (kind of the chief academic officer of the college) I support this hard but joyous work of imagination, inquiry, research, and moral engagement. The four years of college go by fast, but the lifelong habits of curiosity, clarity, communication, and critical thinking stay with our graduates throughout their lives, and power their careers and civic identities.
